Enjoying great success in music, film, television and the stage, Dean Martin epitomized cool.

Johnny T brings back that memorable era, performing the songs that are classic Dean, including:
"Ain't That A Kick in the Head," "Volare" (nel Blu Dipinto Di Blu) and Dean's signature songs:

"Everybody Loves Somebody" was written in 1949 by Irving Taylor and Ken Lane. Although several artists, including Frank Sinatra, had recorded it, it never made much of a splash. In 1964, Ken Lane was playing piano for Dean Martin on his Dream With Dean LP sessions, and suggested the song to Dino. Martin re-recorded the tune for his next album, with an orchestra and chorus. Reprise Records was so enthusiastic about its hit potential, they titled the new LP "Everybody Loves Somebody" to capitalize on it. The song shot straight up the charts, knocking the Beatles out of the top spot. Following the song's peak, Dean sent his close friend Sinatra a telegram saying "THAT'S THE WAY YOU DO IT".

"Memories Are Made of This" is a song originally sung by Mario Lanza in the film The Seven Hills Of Rome. It was written by Terry Gilkyson (who previously had performed with the legendary Folk group The Weavers in the early 1950s), Richard Dehr and Frank Miller in 1955.

"That's Amore" first appeared in the soundtrack of the Martin and Lewis comedy film The Caddy, released by Paramount Pictures in 1953. The record (on Capitol) went all the way to No. 2 that same year. The song, which continues to be quite popular even in Naples and the rest of Italy, is often credited with influencing the rise of pizza from an obscure Italian specialty food to an American staple. It was used as the opening theme song for the 1987 movie, Moonstruck, starring Cher and Nicholas Cage, introducing it to a whole new generation.
